Rounders 2 Nowhere Close To Being Real

Matt Damon
The guys that so beautifully wrote Rounders, the 1998 movie that started the Texas hold ‘em craze, have stated that they want to do a sequel. Brian Koppelman and David Levien say that is something they “plan to do”.
As of yet though there are no concrete plans, but Koppelman told MTV “we made promises to a lot of people that we won’t do it if we can’t find a way for it to not suck”. That’s encouraging because it means that they will take it seriously and not just try to cash in on the original movie.
As far as plot goes, “We have this idea that we really want to pick these characters up down the road. So it is something we plan to do, we just don’t have it on the calendar yet” says Levien.
Ed Norton recently said that he would be down for a sequel if the writers return. Matt Damon may be a harder sell, considering how much his career has exploded recently with his successful Bourne franchise. He doesn’t need to do this film if he doesn’t like the screenplay.
Honestly I do see this movie being made someday. Rounders was too entertaining to pass up on a sequel, but it might have to wait until Damon has a tough stretch in his career and needs an extra paycheck.

Hottest Actresses in an Apocalypse Movie
If the world is about to end then these are the ladies we wish we were spending our last moments with. Below is a list of the hottest actresses in an end of the world movie.
Sarah Polley- Dawn of the Dead (2004)

I bet the zombies really wanted a piece of her flesh. If I ever contract some kind of infection that causes me to aimlessly wander around I’m going straight for her.
Renee Russo- Outbreak (1995)

I think I’m feeling feverish. Hey Renee do you think you can tuck me into bed? Renee Russo is a very sexy lady and she has tamed many a leading man. Bad monkey!!
Olivia Williams- Postman (1997)

Kevin Costner always makes sure that he gets to make out with a hot chick in his movies. This was no exception. Olivia was beautiful as well as strong in this movie.
Beatrice Rosen- 2012 (2009)

When you’re a billionaire you can afford nice things. Like the beautiful Beatrice Rosen. She has also appeared in Dark Knight and Charmed.
Liv Tyler- Armageddon (1998)

Her eyes are hypnotizing. Too bad she had to make out with Ben Affleck in the film. That alone takes a few points away from Liv. Her father, Steven Tyler, penned the award winning song for this movie.
Emmy Rossum- The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

That smile can keep you warm in the worst weather. She is more well known for her role in The Phantom of the Opera. Surprisingly she has not had a whole slew of roles. Come on producers, get on the ball.
Vivica A Fox- Independence Day (1996)

Perhaps the best “almost world ending” movie of all times also has one of the hottest actresses. Vivica is ageless. She is still sexy into her 40’s.

Top Sports Movies of the 00’s
There have been quite a few great sports movies in this decade. Most of the good ones were serious and touching. Past decades had great funny sports movies, this decade left us with Mr. 3000 (not horrible, but no Major League). Here is a look at the top sports films from 2000-2009.
5. The Wrestler (2008). I found this movie to be both inspirational and barely watchable. It ends up having such a depressing ending after seeming like a redemption film through the middle of the movie. Most sports films end up with a happy ending. The Wrestler is too realistic for that.
4. Miracle (2004). I really don’t like hockey, but this sports film is too good to pass up on this list. We all know how the story ends thanks to Al Michaels. This movie fills in some of the details.
3. The Blind Side (2009). Haven’t seen this one yet, but from all the noise I hear about it I can’t keep it off the list. It is Sandra Bullock’s best performance and the story is inspiration personified. This sports movie may end up being one of the best of all time.
2. Coach Carter (2005). He was tougher on academics than he was in basketball practice, which was saying a lot. Samuel L Jackson played the coach perfect and the movie made you care about the young men on the team.
1. Remember the Titans (2000). One of my favorite movies of all time happens to have one of my favorite actors (Denzel). This film has a lot of character development and does a great job of expressing what a lot of African American athletes were going through back then.
