Heat Beat Bulls To Move Back Into Sixth Seed
Dwayne Wade called last nights game against the Bulls “One of our best road wins of the season” and it couldn’t have come at a better time for the Miami Heat. Wade only had 12 points, but added 10 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks as the Heat moved a half game ahead of the Charlotte Bobcats for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Jermaine O’Neal led the Heat with 24 points, the former NBA All Star is averaging 24.5 points over the last two games. Wade, a Chicago native, just didn’t need to score in this game as the Heat easily won 103-74.
For the Bulls, Joakim Noah has returned to limited action over the last three games. Noah is averaging 5 points and 4 rebounds in ten minutes of action over that span.

Dwyane Wade Scores Big In Win Vs Nets

Photo Author Keith Allison
A loss to the New Jersey Nets would have been embarrassing, luckily for the Miami Heat they have Dwyane Wade. One of the best players in the NBA, Wade showed his overall skill on Monday night with 27 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds in a 99-89 win on Monday.
Wade actually got some help too. Jermaine O’Neal added 25 points and 9 rebounds in an effort that the Heat would love to see repeated more often. The team is in a battle for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and strong play from players other than Wade would be nice.

Dwyane Wade And Heat Keep Pace With Bobcats
Dwyane Wade had 22 points and 7 assists to lead the Miami Heat to a win over the Chicago Bulls. The Heat are tied with the Charlotte Bobcats for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference right now. There is not much room for error as the NBA regular season winds down.
Miami has won five of the last six games. In those games Wade is averaging 29.3 points, 5 rebounds and 8.8 assists. They have also been helped by the reemergence of past NBA All Star Jermaine O’Neal, who is averaging 15.5 points in his last six games.

Chris Kaman Out Plays Jermaine O’Neal
Chris Kaman is really putting some notches in his “I outplayed your teams center” bedpost. So let’s add another player who used to be good to that list. I remember a time when Jermaine O’Neal was an “it” center in the NBA. Four straight seasons averaging 20 points per game (topping out at 24.3) and always keeping himself within shouting distance of double figure rebounds.
However this is the third season in a row where O’Neal has been a shadow of his former self. Of course injuries are the true culprit, he is too young at 31 years old to be slowing due to age (keep your head up Jermaine, just look at Grant Hill, theres still time.)
That is the sad state of the center position in the NBA, that the guys that were All-Stars at the position just a few years ago seemed to be washed up. Luckily the league has guys like Chris Kaman and Marc Gasol to carry the torch for the position. In the Clippers game against the Heat, Kaman scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. That compared to O’Neal’s 2 points and 2 rebounds in twenty minutes. That shows you the difference in ability between the two at this stage of their careers.
Of course this isn’t surprising, Kaman is making twenty point, 10+rebound games a regular occurrence. His team the Los Angeles Clippers are making winning a pretty common thing too. They are within a game of being at .500, and all that without number one pick Blake Griffin.
Baron Davis and Kaman are most definitely the heart and soul behind their team clawing it’s way back into the playoff picture. Along with defensive stud Marcus Camby, consistent contributer Rasaul Butler, and up and coming guard Eric Gordon; they have one of the best starting line-ups in the NBA.
