Stephen Curry Now Having Best Season In Family History

Stephen Curry Has Surpassed His Father Dell

It was obvious to most of us that Stephen Curry would become a better player than his father, Dell Curry. However, even I thought it would take him at least a full season to have a better season than his dad ever had.

In his best NBA season, Dell averaged 16.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists. So far this season Stephen has averages of 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists. The elder Curry was a one dimensional player who specialized in three point shots, son is a well rounded point guard who can do several things well.

Now it will be interesting to see just how good Stephen becomes. Will he plateau quickly in his career, becoming just a solid player? Or will he become an NBA All-Star point guard for the next ten or so years? Only time will tell, but I’d bet on somewhere in between.
