NBA Daily: 1-2-10

Cleveland is on quite a roll right now and the Celtics won despite a plethora of injuries. NBA action is heating up while the Mid-West is freezing outside.

Cavaliers 94, Nets 86

The Cavaliers were lead by Lebron James who had 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Anderson Varejao added 12 rebounds and Mo Williams pitched in 18 points.

The Nets were paced by Devin Harris and his 22 points. Brook Lopez had 20 points and Yi Jianlian had 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Bobcats 107, Heat 97

Charlotte pulled off the upset with the help of Stephen Jackson who had 35 points and 8 rebounds. Gerald Wallace pitched in 15 points.

In a losing effort, Miami was lead by Dwyane Wade and his 29 points and 11 assists. Quentin Richardson had 20 points and Udonis Haslem grabbed 10 boards. Jermaine O’Neal blocked 4 shots.

Pacers 122, Timberwolves 111

The Pacers were lead by Luther Head and Roy Hibbert who each had 21 points. Hibbert is averaging 21 points over the last three games. Earl Watson dished out 9 assists.

For Minnesota, Al Jefferson scored 23 points and Kevin Love failed to reach a double double for the first time in 11 games while scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds, but he did have 3 steals.

Spurs 97, Wizards 86

Tim Duncan had 23 points to lead San Antonio to the win. Roger Mason scored 20 points. Tony Parker went 5-17 from the field, but did manage 12 points and 7 assists.

For Washington Gilbert Arenas scored 23 points and 8 assists. Caron Butler had 24.

Celtics 103, Raptors 96

Despite not having Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo; the Celtics beat Toronto behind Ray Allen who had 23 points. Kendrick Perkins grabbed 10 boards and Rasheed Wallace had 16 points and 3 steals.

For the Raptors, Chris Bosh had 25 points and 9 rebounds. Andrea Bargnani had 21 points and Hedo Turkoglu grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 7 assists.

Hornets 99, Rockets 95

Chris Paul had 28 points and 9 assists for New Orleans. He was helped out by Emeka Okafor and his 16 rebounds. David West pitched in 15 points.

The Rockets were lead by Trevor Ariza’s 19 points and Chuck Hayes’ 13 assists. Luis Scola also had 15 points.

Bulls 101, Magic 93

Derick Rose had 30 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Rose has averaged 24 points over the last 5 games. He was helped by Taj Gibson and his 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. John Salmons also had 15 points.

In a losing effort, Matt Barnes had 23 points for Orlando. Dwight Howard had 12 rebounds, but only 9 points. Jameer Nelson pitched in 10 points and 10 assists.

Bucks 103, Thunder 97 (OT)

Michael Redd had 27 points and 7 rebounds for Milwaukee. Andrew Bogut had 23 points and 15 rebounds and Hakim Warrick pitched in 14 points and 8 rebounds.

For Oklahoma City, Kevin Durant continued his torrid pace with 31 points and 4 blocked shots. Russel Westbrook had 17 points and 13 assists.

Grizzlies 128, Suns 103

Memphis blew Phoenix out behind 25 points by OJ Mayo. Marc Gasol had 19 points and 9 rebounds on 8-10 shooting and Zach Randolph had 18 points and 11 rebounds. Sam Young pitched in 22 points including 9-9 FT.

Phoenix was lead by Amare Stoudemire’s 29 points. Steve Nash had 19 points and 13 assists.

Nuggets 105, Jazz 95

Ty Lawson had 23 points and 9 assists for Denver. He was helped by Nene’s 22 points and 6 steals. Kenyon Martin had 12 rebounds and JR Smith had 18 points.

Utah was lead by Carlos Boozer who had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Mehmet Okur had 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Blazers 105, Warriors 89

Portland was lead by Brandon Roy and his 37 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. He hit 12-14 free throws. Andre Miller had 23 points and Martell Webster had 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Mavericks 99, Kings 91

Dirk Nowitzki had 25 points and 7 rebounds, including 7-7 free throws to pace Dallas. Jose Juan Barea had 17 points . Drew Gooden grabbed 10 boards.

Omri Casspi had 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists  with 4 threes for Sacramento.  Casspi is averaging 18.4 points and 8.4 rebounds over the last five games. Jason Thompson pitched in 15 points and 10 rebounds.
