NBA Player Profile: Luis Scola

Luis Scola of the Houston Rockets is a very solid NBA power forward. He plays with passion and plays to win. He proved his ability to play on the big stage last summer by carrying Argentina in the Olympics.

Strengths: Great footwork and pump fakes very well. High intensity. Solid rebounder for his size. Good shot selection.

Weaknesses: Isn’t quite at All-Star level despite his abilities.

Our Opinions

James: I really like watching Luis because he plays the game the way it should be played. He should have a long, productive NBA career and will hopefully get at least one All-Star appearance.

George: I think I saw Scola on one of those Geico Caveman commercials. Helen Keller thinks he’s ugly. He’s an okay player, but lets not get carried away thinking he could be an All-Star. He should be able remain a starter for the next few NBA seasons.
