Youth in Revolt Trailer

In the movie, based on the book by C.D. Payne, a fourteen year old boy named Nick falls for the girl.  That  girl just isn’t into him. So what does he do? He creates an alter ego, Francoi Dillinger.

Francois is dangerous, confident, and a a little bit of a bad guy. So of course the girl, Sheeni, falls for him back.

He causes a huge fire and ends up on the run from the cops. He has to figure out how to get himself out of his mess, while still keeping Sheeni close to him.

Since Juno I haven’t really seen anything from Michael Cera that I’ve been impressed with. In fact, even with Juno, I feel like his  movies had varying degrees of success in spite of him.

Hopefully this film breaks that trend and he shows some acting chops. I must say  it looks like it has promise as he seems to break out of the dry persona momentarily and shows some range.

This film is Scheduled to be released October 30th, 2009.
